Pin by Emma Watson on The Outdoors

Pin by Emma Watson on The Outdoors Pilot recovering after helicopter crash west of Edmonton Monday morning. Lee said the male pilot of the Robinson R44 helicopter, who was the sole individual on board the aircraft when it crashed, was injured but is doing okay. Lee said the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is working with the operator and local RCMP to gather information on the crash to determine whether a team will be deployed to investigate further. A cause for the crash has not yet been determined. Roch Dallarie with Gemini Helicotpers Inc. says weather was poor so that may have been a factor in the crash. Dallarie tells CTV News the male pilot was taken to Grande Prairie Hospital by STARS, and is recovering from nonlifethreatening injuries. The last crash involving a Gemini Helicopters aircraft was in January. In that case, the pilot died. Grande Cache is located about 145 kilometres north west of Hinton and 435 kilometres west of Edmonton. We will not publish comments that are profane, libelous, racist, or engage in personal attacks.
