Sister Incest in Japanese Anime

Sister Incest in Japanese Anime

Which is why I phrased the original question the way I did. Its something that is a trope that the Japanese find interesting. I was wondering if it was cultural or just a way to add spice to a story.

I was looking for something that I might have missed about Japanese culture, such as boy/girl social interactions. A comment I saw online led to to think that the interaction of boys and girls in anime occurs more than in real life. If boys and girls tend to interact mostly with their same sex unless theyre dating, you might conclude that the closest emotional relationship would be with their sibling. Small families with single children might also contribute to a curiosity about a sibling relationship. Theres no guarantee that any of this is truly cultural since it may just be anime/otaku related. Thats what I was trying to determine.

Two words for this topic: ITS WRONG! This isnt rocket science people, its freakin wrong. And the whole excuse of the sibling being revealed that shes not blood related is very controversial. Think about it. would you have sex with your sibling even if she/he was not blood related!? And let me add that what If she were adopted? Not only that, but that sibling trusts you with her life and has been with you since childhood and you defile her? Wouldnt that disturb you? To me its cringe inducing. Its not right! Dont get me started on Parent/child incest. All of it is wrong in general. Seriously, Im kind glad that they are doing Tokyo Bill: 156. Im kinda upset that Yaoi and Yuri would be banned and only be in 18 and up stuff because I can understand that there are fans who like those genre types. But, I object to crap thats incest. If I would sacrifice something out of anime, I would do it with the Incest instead of Homosexuality. Oreimo was the anime that gave me hope that they can do an anime THAT isnt TRYING to put incest in your face and do just a slice of life/normal brosis comedy. Even though it had Kirino with her fetish it wasnt really about that. To me it was about Kyousuke trying to earn his sisters trust and be a big brother to her no matter what problems she had. And when she appreciated how he helped her made friends with Kuroneko and Saori and then did other things for her, he was crying with happiness to know that hes grown to have a normal relationship with his sister. Thats why I have some hope. But I think Japan will find a way to circumvent the bill and do sneak things into new anime. sigh
